yep, we wiull be sec 4 next year! but we seem unprepared for lots of things, our cca fair, our drill plan, our watever there's left to prepare... most importantly, we have to teach teh newbies WELL! and seriously, well, cos... ya, i guess u noe wat im trying to say. =X ok, watever.

alright! HEY darlings! long time no see! and TALK! haha.. yep.. im here to inform u guys on the UNIT OUTING! WOAH! pretty exciting hur! =D alright.. let me tell u guys MORE!

it will be on 30th DEC.. fr morning to afternoon... we will be playing lots of games and BBQ! a little weird to bbq in the afternoon. but no choice.. officers do not allow at night! hmm.. there goes our plan of playing with sparklers! =P nvm! its gonna be FUN with ME! haha XD joking lar!

pls make that day free! super free! as we may be having our sq outing after that! =D alright.. the games will be planned by me and the recreation ppl.. actualli its almost done.. jus that we need to adjust the timing alittle.. =D the food.. mrs goh will settle, she will get fr those big company and deliver it to east coast.. logistics.. will inform the logistics com ppl ASAP =D

erm.. publicise.. publicity com.. admin.. take attendance and report the total no of ppl going! and make sure the consent froms are collected ON TIME! haha. hmmm.. i think thats all.. if i missed out something.. i will add on! SEE YA! =))

ALRIGHT.. another thing to add on.. [not realted to unit outing] we went to the new np room in the new school! pretty good! =D and yep.. i came up with the designed already! and we gona start works! like painting.. shopping for neccessary stuffs! and unpacking! =D will show u guys the design when i have the chance!

Not very excited for the camp,
cos not we're the ones running it.

I haven't packed,

HELLO PEOPLE!
It feels like I haven't been here since last last year.
Yeah, CC competition is over.
I've become more optimistic thanks to CCT '06.
We all did our very best, so people, feel happy for yourself, and the two teams!

Okay, enough about the CCC.
The fun is in the making.
Yes lah, yes lah, I copied that from Clay Marble.

So, there's training on the first saturday of every month.
Coolios.
That gives us more time to train, especially those going for the parade.
We'll miss out a lot man.
This way, we can pull up the unit standard to AT LEAST a silver.
But we're aiming for gold.
It might be difficult but we're willing to work hard for the unit.
No matter what other people say about our unit, we shouldn't be affected by it.

'Cos words can't bring me down...
HAHA.
Yeah, We just do the best we can to pull up standards.
We reap what we sow.
No matter gold or silver,
just pull up the standards can already!
I believe the future batches will be able to bring it up to GOLD.

Reminisce the past trainings.
How you girls had trained so hard for Campcraft Team.
Fight so hard to get into the team, the determination placed in,
the effort put in, was deeply recognised by your ma'ams.
Your cried so hard when we told your, "you're not in."
Your hopes crashed, your ego stepped upon.

Your had come through a hard way, a hard time,
those thrashing out sessions, those good times when your were pitching tents,
the sense of accomplishment when your first set up your manshelter,
the pride, the glory, to have acheived something you had done.
All these will be etched in your memories,
the great times with your campcraft team mates.
Working together, solving problems, coming up with solutions.

Yes, you girls are demoralised; panick-stricken,
by the fact that the casualties are of strong qualities,
and the disadvantage of having little trainings for campcraft,
due to NPDP, and other NPCC activities.
But I do not want to see the sulken faces,
i want to see the team as,
full of hope; faith, determination; confidence; enthusiasm,

I thought long and hard about it before I decided if I should blog.

I can't even master the very first lesson all of us got from Yuling ma'am.

Never be complacent.

Feel so stupid. It's like throughout all the cc trainings I keep telling myself never to be complacent, that there are other schools way way better than us. But I missed out the most important thing, the team. It never struck me that not one, but two people would fall ill and that we would be left with only seven. And one reserve. The other reserve don't know run until where. It is my fault for being so preoccupied and not to check. *bangs head on table

So I just wanna say a big sorry for causing so much commotion. It will never happen again, I promise. Well, we may have lost it, can't go back and our cc will never be perfect, but westill have each other. And that's what matters. I believe every single one of us will be ale to make it through the 12 pathetic minutes. Just 34 more hours and everything will be over.

Hey people.
Our CC competition is in a week's time,
and we have three sessions left.
Jia you CCT '06.

Anyway, did you guys think about how to use the 12 minutes effeciently?
We can multitask too, but it depends on our man power.
I've actually drawn out this draft for the team on the actual day.
Flagstaff will take half, man shelter will take the other half.
And the way we cut our twine must change too.

The poles and dowel poles look very thin and short.
Our manila hems are tied up very very nicely.
Our twine seem like it's not going to be enough.
And most importantly, the ponchos are bloody small, compared to ours.
So we have to strategise, like how much force must we exert when 2, 6, pulling.
And how to reduce on our usage of twine.

Jia you people, we can do it.
Show it to other schools that PL can get into finals.
Especially THAT school.
I'm damn sad man.
I got scolded today..
Because I was moody, thinking about the CC thing.
Everything's my fault.
I promised myself not to do it, but I did it again.
So disappointed in myself.

I'm really upset. And I mean it when I say my morale has dropped alot since we ''split''. I just don't understand. We are squadmates, why can't we work together and have fun like we used to? Ever since this week, we have become more and more distanced from each other.

I'm not pointing fingers, I'm not blaming anyone. It's just that, I guess you guys don't realised it, but you all are really acting like the world owes you something. It's kind of scary, you know. And, in no offence, the squad's morale has been affected even further. It's like, it's been somehow affected by recent training, and yet you all throw in your mood swings. Really, even I have been affected by it. All the inner conflicts, it's driving me nuts. Everyone is like calling everyone a backstabber now. And I know even after you read this post you are gonna call me a hypocrite, but I still had to say my piece. Just give me a minute more:

So how you guys find the campcraft training .I the past few weeks (?) Well, whatever it is I hope we can all endure and press on! Gosh I sound like the school theme. But thats OKAY! Because it's stilll 2005 and we should follow that theme! Okay okay getting a little high here.

Aye, Cleo and I are the only ones blogging please. Hello people, this is a squad blog, not a cleo-and-glynnis blog. Do blog if you're free okay!

We're back from ATC! Well, I think this camp is not as tough as the sec 1 camp. We didn't have nightwalk! Sad. But anyway. I hope that through this camp, every one of us has benefited from it. I guess, all of us were taking a lot of initiative. When they ask for volunteer, all of us immediately step out. That's great improvement for our squad, isn't it?

Campfire was fun. Hope you guys don't mind me being zao xia. Because I can't shout for nuts. Speaking about nuts, we have a squad song? Lols. Kept singing it on the way to changi jetty.

I know it's stupid. Haha. I realised that batch 35 are, somehow, united!

Although we don't standardise what clothes to wear, we don't standardise water bottles..
But at least we standardise one thing, that is to NOT bathe for the whole three days of the camp! That is something to be proud of. Lols. =.=

Alright. So the sec 1 camp is over. I could say that all the sec 2s did a good job in leading the sec 1s. Some of the sec 1s were cooperative, but some were not very open to us. Perhaps they were shy or something. But anyway, Danica and I were in Goliad. We kind of screwed up a little. Maybe a lot. Because we didn't teach the sec 1s well. They don't have the slightest respect for us la. Blah blah blah.

But it's over already. What matters most is we know what mistakes we have made and learn our lessons. Don't commit the same stupid mistakes again.

Campcraft right on monday after the camp on sunday. I guess we were all feeling tired and exhausted by the camp. We need some time to get used to this, I guess. Our record on monday was 22 mins 45 seconds. To pitch a tent. I think we're slowly getting used to blistered fingers, rope burns and all that. We learn how to endure and perservere all the way.

We are facing our own problems within our squad. I feel that we have cliques. And we always leave people out. We should help each other more. Like 4 of our squadmates who were having promotion test. To be honest, the thought "coming to school early to revise drills with them" has never crossed my mind. Until our seniors suggested, then Angela and I volunteered.

The good thing is, the 4 of our squadmates got promoted. Feel happy for them. And on tuesday, our performance was out of all our expectations. 13 mins 22 secs. I guess maybe we work well under stress and pressure. If not, we will take our time. So we must prove to everyone that we can achieve 12 mins the next time round, then 11, and slowly, we can achieve 6 mins like Yuling ma'am's batch.

ATC coming up soon. Hope everyone in batch 35 ain't going to touch the shower? Lols. Bring as little as possible, huh. That's all for now.

We finally pitched a tent on friday huh. That was like, great accomplishment. Good job everyone.

Anyway, once announcement to make.
Those who are going for the Sec 1 promotion camp on 5th-6th nov 2005, please take note.
We are going to Cleopatra's house on Tuesday to do our nametags and flags together. But different designs, of course. For the current groups, Santa Yuez (?) and St. Francis group names has been changed. Please wait for the final group name to be given by the sec 3s. In the meantime, these two groups don't do flag yet. And people, discuss among your groups and buy your own materials ok.

For the camp, bring some extra nametags in case other ma'ams come down. In this case, we can fill in their names on the spot. Of course, bring your markers and materials. And yes, no contact lens are allowed for the camp. Wear specs + specs hook. No hairbands too.

I guess that's all. The time to go to Cleo's house will be confirmed.

We have campcraft sessions almost every week now. Preparing and selecting a team for next year's campcraft competition. I aim to get at least top 20, like the sec 4 ma'ams. Haha. People, must endure! Endure all the way, we can make it through together. But first, we have to grab hold of the basics first. There's a lot we have to improve on. I believe we can do it, if we practice more. Maybe we can stay back on our own one day, and practice on our campcraft? How does that sound?

Plus, the selected sec 2s are going to the sec 1 promotion camp on 5th to 6th of November, to guide the sec 1s. My group is St Francis. Haha. Have yet to think of the cheer, and design the flag, nametags and stuff. Should really start soon. Haa.

And, we're having ATC on 11th to 13th November. Heard that we go there for punishments, not adventure. Oops. Haha. But I guess it'll be a good time to bond with fellow area 5 people. Hope we make it through and come back in one piece. Kidding.
